GUMS (Category-I and Category-II )
The Kullu (Sterculia urens) Category-I Gums are primarily graded as Grade-I, Grade-II and Grade-III Gums on the basis of colour, quality and value in the market, Gums from Dhawda (Anogeisus latifolia), Babool (Acacia indica) and Khair (Acacia
catechu) are Category-II Gums. The annual production of Gum varies too much from
year to year.
Gum Collection and Trade Practices
-
The collection of Kullu Gum is prohibited in the State except in Bastar Revenue Division.

The entire area of collection is divided into different units similar to Tendu leaves Primary units.

These units are sold in advance through e-Tenders/e-Auctions by MFP
Federation, Raipur to facilitate the collection of Gum.

The purchaser is required to deposit the 10% of the sale value, calculated
on the basis of notified quantity in the e-Tenders/e-Auctions notice as security deposit.

The collection charges to the collectors at collection centres are paid by
the purchaser at the rate fixed by the Govt.

The collection rate for Kullu Gum is Rs.
22000/- per Qtl. for grade I, Rs.
15000/- per Qtl. for
grade II and Rs.
10800/- per qntl. for
grade III and Rs.
2900/- per per qntl.for Dhawada Gum, Rs.
1740/- per qtl. for
Khair and Babool Gum for the year 2016-17.
