Harra popularly known as myrobolan is fruit obtained from the species Terminalia
chebula. Harra is used in tannin and Pharma Industries. It is one of the
ingredients of Triphala powder prescribed in the Ayurvedic prescriptions. The
approximate potential production of Harra in the state is about 50,000 quintals per year
but production of Harra varies from year to year. The major Harra producing District Unions are - Kanker, Keshkal, South Kondagaon, East Bhanupratappur, Jagdalpur Rajnandgaon, Dharamjaigarh, Raigarh and Jashpur.
Harra Collection and Trade Practices

Harra is being purchased under Mechanism
for Marketing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) through Minimum Support Price (MSP)
and Development of Value Chain for MFP scheme of Government of India. The collection rate of Harra is Rs. 1500/- per quintal for the year 2019-20.
- The Harra collection is done on same lines as Sal seed.

The godowned quantity of Harra is disposed off by e-Tenders/e-Auctions by M.F.P. Federation, Raipur.
